Mr. McKerroll has over 25 years experience in the finance business, he was one of the founders of Newcourt Credit Group, a publicly traded international commercial finance company that provided financial products and advisory services. Mr. McKerroll helped lead the company from a start-up to having in excess of $25B in owned and managed assets and in excess of 5,000 employees. He was President of Newcourt Capital the large ticket side of Newcourt’s business. Newcourt Capital was responsible for the following finance sectors; Aerospace, Rail, Power and Energy, Infrastructure, Communications and Media and Merchant Banking
After the acquisition of Newcourt by CIT Group Inc, Mr McKerroll was a member of CIT’s Executive Council and became the Group CEO of CIT Structured Finance (formerly Newcourt Capital) and later the Group CEO of CIT Capital Finance after the combination of CIT’s Structured Finance and Capital Finance divisions.
Mr. McKerroll is a member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Audit Committee of Cossette Communication Group Inc., a publicly traded international communications firm with offices in Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom. He is a member of the advisory board of Signal Hill Equity Partners, a Toronto based private equity firm.
Mr. McKerroll obtained his chartered accountant designation while working for Clarkson Gordon. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from McMaster University.
